Brain Training Online – Here Are Some Games To Improve Your Brain Power

Brain training online games or almost any other game for that matter involving pc’s are acknowledged to normally allow you to be sluggish and impair your mind as well. Although this is not really a stated scientific point there exists evidence on account of this kind of reduction of mental acuity in your present age bracket. Even though this is taking place there is a massive buzz in relation to strengthening our mental capability by means of participating in brain games online.

A standard man or woman only uses 25% of their genuine brainpower. Perhaps a lot less than this most of the time. But some of the memory games that happen to be available nowadays to be tried on the net are in reality built to improve a person’s brainpower. They’re also intended to coach you on utilizing all four parts of the human brain. This is an exceptional approach to educate the human brain and also increase your mind ability in addition to honing a razor sharp mental capacity.

It’s funny how far we’ve come as far as technology is concerned. Our computers are so advanced that they can practically do anything at this point in time. And yet they have made people lazy by doing certain functions for them quickly where in the past people would have to use their mind to accomplish these things.

Utilizing a calculator to try and do smaller computations may be a fantastic example. How frequently do you grab your calculator or maybe pull this up on your laptop or computer instead of just doing the work by yourself in your head? I believe is quite often but I’m not seeking to single you out without any reason. I am as likely to do this just as much as the other person and I be considered a complete liar if I said otherwise.

This is exactly why brain training on the net is critical for every individual at this point in time. We need to strengthen all of our brain function plus brain capacity more than previously just because technological innovation now takes care of most of the stuff that had been employed to continue to keep a sharp mental focus.

Several of the regions you may increase are as follows: attention, processing swiftness, knowledge and also memory. And this also is only to mention a few of the numerous great advantages from taking part in online brain training activities. One more fascinating matter taking place whilst participating in these kinds of games is the fact those who suffered with despression symptoms are starting to remove their despression symptoms by simply playing along and also exercising the minds.

The nice thing about applying these brain games will be that you’re really training your mind and therefore strengthening its ability as well as reflexes which might be in terrible condition as a result of the fatigued way of living an average joe leads presently.

It’s vital that you practice brain training online by employing brain games mainly because it keeps our own mind effective in addition to healthy and balanced. To be able to continue to be fresh and active you’ll want to allow your brain to have these awesome workouts.

The Golden Ratio ( 1 : 1.618 )

The perfect Ratio of 1:1.618 that occurs everywhere in Nature.

In this example I used the Corona (Latin for Crown) of a Stapelia schinzii var. schinzii flower (from Namibia, Africa), to illustrate Nature’s divine Ratio. The Inner and Outer Corona, and Corolla Lobes (Petals) all conform to this exact Ratio.

The Golden Ratio (or Golden Mean) can be found in everything from human anatomy, to a nautilus shell, galaxies, butterflies, insects, plants and flowers.

Architects used this formula (π / Phi) from the Parthenon to the Pyramids, and Renaissance Artists like Leonardo da Vinci used it for the Composition of the Mona Lisa.

Energize The Human Brain With Neural Exercising

The brain is like a central processing unit of the human anatomy. It is the organ which allows a person to think, to learn and remember things. Just like any muscle in the body, the brain needs exercise in order for it to develop into a strong organ. These exercises include good health habits that are designed to help build your brain.

Sleeping probably comes first when we talk about exercises that develop the brain. It is during sleep that the different parts of your brain responsible for producing various types of memories are being held together. Sleep is also good if you want to develop your long-term memory. Studies have shown that people who get enough sleep can recall things better than people who do not.

Too much stress is bad for the brain, as it is for every organ in your body. Studies have proven that stress is directly related to the death of memory cells in the brain. That is the reason why you find it hard to remember things or think properly when you are under pressure. Some stress is appropriate for the body. But there is bad stress and that’s what you have to be aware of.

Do you know that you can actually feed your brain? What I mean is, there are foods that are perfect for the brain as there are foods good for the heart. In fact, most of heart-healthy foods are also brain-healthy. Food rich in omega-3 like tuna, mackerel, and salmon are all good brain foods. Other brain-healthy food may include your favorite chocolate and almond, coffee and also berries. Delicious aren’t they?

Playing mentally challenging games are also very good exercises for your brain. Every time you play word games like scrabble and crossword puzzles, your brain processing capacity is improved. That is because the more the brain uses the memory, the more the memory is developed.

Board games are also good workout for your grey matter. Grab your chess or checker board and play against a friend. You can also play against the computer if no human opponent is available. The important is thing is you build, develop and improve your brain while enjoying some fun games at the same time.

Researchers Find Amazing Effects of Meditation on Human Brain

A new research has been done by the Researchers at Harvard, Yale, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology which may lead to some very interesting observations regarding the effects of meditation on human brain. The research suggests that meditation can indeed lead to larger brain sizes. That would mean, that people who meditate grow bigger brains than those who don’t. When it comes to gray matter, the thickening turns out to be more pronounced in older than in younger people. That’s very interesting as the thickening or as regards the sections of the human cortex get thinner as we age.

Meditation practice can promote cortical plasticity in adults in areas important for cognitive and emotional processing and well-being and the findings are consistent with some other studies. The medical society and those actively following on meditation regularly are very excited with the findings. If you are still surprised, be aware that previous findings have led to similar conclusions when it was noticed that visual areas in brains of jugglers get thickened due to repeated practice and more usage of that particular area of brain during performance. The same holds true in case of musicians whose music areas of brains reported thickening. In the meditation related research, brain scans of 20 experienced meditators were compared with those of 15 non meditators. People with varying backgrounds were taken as control groups, those who worked in careers such as law, health care, and journalism. During scanning, the meditators were told to practice meditation as usual while the others just relaxed and thought about whatever they wanted.

Those who meditated practiced Buddhist “insight meditation,” which focuses on whatever is there, like noise or body sensations. No chants or mantras were used during the meditation process There were an average of about 40 minutes meditation sessions per day. As reported, there were mediators of varying experience, some had been doing it for only a year, others for decades. Very profoundly, it was noticed that those most deeply involved in the meditation showed the greatest changes in brain structure. This made the researchers conclude that the differences in brain structure were caused by the meditation.

One great benefit of meditation is that it can be helped to control random thoughts Experts believe that random thoughts and the like actions continually deprive brain of the energies that can be instead used for constructive purposes.

Insight meditation can be practiced anytime by all those people. We all face worries all the time but worrying too much for trivial matters also becomes a habit. Often that leads to self sabotage when we can’t perform to our fullest extent. People tend to worry about what will happen if they miss it, or if the end product will be good enough to suit the boss, at workplace. Most people drive themselves crazy with unproductive “what if” worry. While to increase performance and for greater achievements, “If, instead, you focus on the present moment, on what needs to be done and what is happening right now, then much of the feeling of stress goes away”. The increased thicknesses in the grey matter are very proportional to the time devoted to meditation and the depth of meditation.

Another great benefit that meditation doers find is the way it reduces aging. There are several small benefits as well but you can bet those differences are going to lead to lots more positive changes in your life.

There are still several questions that scientists need to answer regarding the study like whether meditation produces more connections between brain cells, or more blood vessels? Can brain thickness influence daily behavior? And other questions that might lead to even more positive conclusions regarding meditation. Larger studies are planned at Massachusetts General Hospital, the Harvard-affiliated.

Such studies are very encouraging for those actively believing in meditation and alternative therapies. As further research is done on a larger number of people and testing them multiple times, more examination of peoples’ brains both before and after learning to meditate is done, we may find even better results. Scientists are very keen to find the effect of slowing aging on the regular meditators.

Since meditation counteracts the natural thinning of the thinking surface of the brain, there is a high probability that it plays a role in slowing – even reversing – aging? Well, that is what only time and further studies can prove but definitely meditation techniques is something you must have a look into if you are planning to live healthier and longer!

According to a report in the June 12 issue of Archives of Internal Medicine, one of the JAMA/Archives journals, the meditation techniques of transcendental meditation may decrease blood pressure and reduce insulin resistance among patients with coronary heart disease. Thus, Shoaib Ahsan loves meditation and wants every one to have a look into it and find out how to live healthier and stress free.

Do You Know The True Nature Of Your Brain?

Throughout the world, Brain, mind, soul and consciousness are used interchangeably during conversations. Brain is the most vital physical organ in the body and is like a master computer. Mind is subtle body that operates through brain and five sense organs. Thoughts, emotions, ego, memory, sensations, reasoning, logic, desires operates through mind. Soul is human essence, your sense of self and operates through mind; and it is behind: I am what I am. Consciousness is unconditioned awareness that transcends time and space. It also operates through mind, infinite, immaterial, immortal, instrument for salvation. It is the universal principle, pervading the entire world of nature and no scientist can reproduce, test, reproduce or understand.

Brain understands better with comparison. Brain is like an umbrella and it works better when it is open. 20% of body oxygen goes to brain. Brain weighs about 1350-1450 grams. There are 10 trillion cells, 20 billion neurons (nerve cells), and 30,000 genes. One cubic centimeter of brain tissue has one trillion connections like an internet net work. It functions and operates with electrical and chemical impulses. It regulates your body, blood pressure, breathing, heart rate, temperature and is the only organ with auto-regulation. With brain, every thing is a balance of act. Human brain has enough redundancy and plasticity.

I hope this gave you an idea of the power of your brain. You can expand your horizons with the power of your brain. There is no limit to it. Just by a thought with your mind you can travel to anywhere in the universe with the blink of your eye. Nothing in the universe can travel faster than your mind and thought. Human brain alone invented computer to spaceship and put a man on the moon.

Emotions stem from your thoughts. Negative emotions like anger, hatred, intolerance to other religions and cultures; bigotry, sectarianism, prejudice, hypocrisy, and discrimination; not only create unhappiness but have the toll on your bodily health. They can lead to hypertension, depression, obesity, heart problems and strokes. On the contrary, if you nurture your brain with positive thoughts; they elevate your self esteem and bring happiness into your life and you maintain a healthy content life.

The most important for you to remember is that you can change what you think and gain some conscious control over your emotional life. It is the power of your brain to change your mind for the better.

Any person can understand the true nature of one’s brain power. Knowledge is always there and you only shed your incognizance through knowledge of your true inner self; just like a snake sheds its old skin every month in order to gain new skin.

D V Pasupuleti MD, director of neurology and clinical professor; discusses how brain holds the key to happiness. Find out how your mind can gain control over your emotions at

"Then from those profound slumbers we awake in a dawn, not knowing who we are, being nobody, newly born, ready for anything, the brain emptied of that past which was life until then. And perhaps it is more wonderful still when our landing at the waking-point is abrupt and the thoughts of our sleep, hidden by a cloak of oblivion, have no time to return to us gradually, before sleep ceases. Then, from the black storm through which we seem to have passed, we emerge prostrate, without a thought, a we that is void of content.”

Parts of The Brain Control

Introduction to parts of the brain control:

The brain is a part of the central nervous system of the human body. The central nervous system is highly developed and is the site of information processing in the nervous system. The central nervous system has two parts:

1. Brain

2. Spinal Cord

Let us describe the brain in detail. The human brain has various parts that are used to control various functions of our body. Let us describe each of them in detail:

The Brain

Brain of an average adult is made up of about 1000 billion neurons and weighs about 1300 grams. It is protected in the brain box, cranium or skull. Brain is covered by three membranes called meninges. Space between membranes is filled by cerebrospinal fluid. Cerebrospinal fluid serves as a shock absorbing medium and protects the brain against mechanical shocks. It maintains constant pressure in and around the brain. It also helps in the exchange of nutrients and waste products between the nerve tissue and the blood.

Parts of Brain And Their Control

(A) Fore brain: It includes cerebrum and olfactory lobes.

(i) Cerebrum:

It is the most specialized and the largest part of brain. Its surface is highly folded to increase surface area. It is made up of two hemispheres called cerebral hemisphere. It is made of grey matter and highly convoluted in appearance. Different areas of cerebrum control different body parts and functions as follows:

a. Occipital lobes: Region for sight

b. Temporal Lobe: Region for hearing

c. Frontal lobe: Region for speech, facial muscular activities and mental activities

d. Parietal Lobe: Region for taste, smell, touch, temperature and consciousness.

Actually, there are some areas in each lobe which control thinking and memory and are called association areas. These association areas store information and experience. So, cerebrum controls all voluntary activities.

(ii) Olfactory lobes:

It is a pair of poorly developed club shaped, widely separated bodies which are visible from the ventral surface only. Olfactory lobes contain olfactory receptors which are orange of smell.

B. Mid – Brain: It controls reflex movements of the head, neck and trunk in response to visual and auditory stimuli. It connects the hind brain with fore brain and conveys impulses.

C. Hind Brain: It is a posterior, small part of the brain. It is differentiated into three parts:- pons, cerebellum and medulla oblongata.

(i) Pons:

It is a thick, white, rounded ridge dorsally covered by the cerebellum. It carries impulses from medulla oblongata to fore brain and from one lobe of cerebellum to other lobe.

(ii) Cerebellum:

It is the largest part of hind brain, present below the cerebrum and above the medulla oblongata behind the pons. It consists of two large lateral lobes called cerebral hemisphere.

a. It has to maintain body balance and posture.

b. It controls and coordinates muscular activity.

(iii) Medulla Oblongata:

It is a continuation of upper part of spinal cord and forms the lower part of brain stem. It relays motor and sensory impulses between other parts of brain and spinal cord. It controls involuntary activities as follows:

a. Regulates heart beat, breathing and blood vessel diameter.

b. Coordinates reflexes such as swallowing, vomiting, coughing, sneezing and hiccuping.

Both medulla oblangata and bones together form brain stem.
