Day 38: Inner Vitality & Stamina – The 40-Day Kundalini Yoga Weight Loss Challenge w/ Mariya

(sitar music) – Sat Nam, yogis. Welcome back to day 38. We have three more days to go. It’s been really a massive journey, so let’s finish up strong. Today we’re doing a Kriya for
inner vitality and stamina. Let’s rub the hands together, bring them at the sternum. Inhale, (breathing deeply) (chanting in foreign language) Inhale, exhale, let’s begin. We’re gonna come into a Downward Dog, so starting from all fours, tuck the toes under, and we’re gonna lift up into Downward Dog. So, find that space of balance between the hands and the feet. Stretch and, elongate the spine. Allowing breathing of the neck. And through here, we’re gonna lift and come into the toes, and down, come onto the fingertips. It is hard, but we are trained yogis by now. Lift again, onto the toes, and on this position, we’re gonna start wriggling the tailbone, like a happy dog. Make sure you maintain position, on toes and fingers. (inspirational world music) Inhale, stretch, exhale, wow. This was definitely a masterpiece. Now, squeeze the fingers and relax them, and the whole weight on top of them, ain’t easy, but we’re breaking a lot of crystals that are accumulated at this area, so it’s very helpful. Now, we’re gonna come into a Lotus Pose. Again, obviously if, this is too much you can just sit cross-legged, but ideally, you wanna have the legs into a very nice Lotus, and once you’ve locked the feet, you’re gonna come down, and you’re gonna lay down on your elbows. Talking about come all the way down, this is it. We breathe long and deep. (tranquil vocal music) And from here we inhale, come up, if you’re comfortable
in this position, stay. If it’s too much, you can
come into an Easy Pose, whichever one you choose. And from here, we are going to interlace the hands, sorry, we’re gonna hold them to the elbows, and squeeze them into the body. Lean back 60 degrees. We’re gonna start rolling
the shoulders forward. So we’re leaning back, shoulders rolling in a circle forward. Chin remains slightly tucked in, so engaging the tummy muscles. I’m also relaxing the shoulders. (tranquil vocal music) Give yourself a nice massage. Inhale, exhale. Now, come into a Baby Pose, so sitting on the heels, come forward, bring the arms behind in the small of the back and
interlace them both together. We’re gonna raise the hands up as far as they go, and just breathe. (vocal and sitar music) And inhale, come up, exhale. Now come into an Easy Pose. Then bring the palms into a Prayer Pose, right into the chest. We’re gonna be pumping the navel. (tranquil world music) Inhale, hold the breath in, exhale. And with the same mantra, inhale to tune out. Sat Nam Sat Nam Sat Nam (speaking in foreign language) I will see you tomorrow. This was a very sweet
and interesting Kriya. It works really deep inside to build the nervous system, so you feel much more balanced, but also stronger, in a sense. Have a great day. Sat Nam. (sitar music)
