  1. So I have to run with my feet on the ground? And I need to breathe while doing this? I don't know aobut this. Harder than I expected.

  2. it all depends on the person…lots of ppl are different. this is my first year running the 400 and at first id sprint the first 100 and sprint the last 150 and i ran a 54. now later on in the season my coach told me to go hard on the 300 and keep pace through the last 100 and i ran 50.4 doing that as a freshman

  3. our coach makes us do a full out sprint for the whole 400m. he says there no such thing as building up you speed, and then going as fast as you can. all you have to do to be good at the 400m is start sprinting, keep sprinting, and finish with sprinting. thats just about it. 😛 its hard and it usually takes me a little more then a minute

  4. First 50 to 75 meters: pretty quick and brisk jog…..100 to 250 meters: run at about 50 to 70% power….250 to 350 meters: run at 80 to 90% power…..then run at a full 100% sprint for the final 50 meters…..and realize you just finished dead last.

  5. @mattcarpowich when you say running 500's and 600's … do you mean striding them ? or jogging them.. or sprinting them ?
