When should I talk to my gynecologist about changes in my period?

The biggest reasons to
talk to your gynecologist about menstrual abnormalities
is timing, volume, and frequencies. So in other words,
if a period is coming on more often
than once a month or longer than three
to four months apart, you need to be seeing
your gynecologist. Similarly, if you’re
bleeding twice a month, that’s not
acceptable and, obviously, if you’re bleeding so much
that you’re having accidents or it becomes a
hindrance to lifestyle, those are reasons to seek care.
