– Some women are concerned
of urinary problems that would follow a hysterectomy. But that is rarely seen as a consequence of doing the hysterectomy. There’s really no evidence
that if you didn’t have urinary problems before the hysterectomy, that the hysterectomy will
cause those problems afterwards. So if a woman is having
those issues beforehand, we do take steps to counteract that during the surgical procedure. But in and of itself, if
you’re having a hysterectomy and if you didn’t have bladder or urinary problems beforehand, it’s very unlikely that they
would follow the hysterectomy.
