Winnie Harlow and Angelica Ross on Healthy Relationships | Black Women OWN the Conversation | OWN

So what does good
love look like for you. Or what do you want? What would move your heart? So I’ve been in a few
relationships in my young age. And I found that in every
relationship, whatever I was lacking in the
past relationship, I looked for in the present. And I think what moves me the
most throughout all of them is being heard and
being respected. You know what I
like about it as well, is that like every relationship
that I’ve been in before, I feel like the universe or God
or however you want to call it, is sort of testing me in
the moment, and saying, OK, here you go. Now, is this what
you really want? Because something
inside me is telling me that this ain’t quite it. But, do I want to stay here
because it feels comfortable or do I want to love
myself enough to wait?

  1. A healthy relationship builds and lasts when both individuals drop their ego and are not afraid to just love another fully while giving each other their freedom ) Learning to love without fear is the key) fear of getting hurt keeps many away from love today )

  2. The black community will never prosper until black men wake up and re-subjugate their women. πŸ€·πŸΏβ€β™‚οΈ
Men lead, women follow. Respect is not that important, just follow your leaders instructions. I guarantee you the black women doesn’t demand respect from the employers who pay them because they just need a check until they find something better.

God made men stronger for a reason.

  3. All this damn waiting. White women are doing just fine finding and keeping a husband. The church told me to wait to find an equally yoked man. They forgot to tell me that at age 35 my eggs are considered old and high risk. What are we really waiting for? Who is going to tell these young girls the rest of the story?

  4. I'm sorry, I couldn't get the beauty. My goodness. Winnie and Angelica are STUNNING. πŸ‘‘ πŸ’œπŸ‘πŸΏπŸ‘πŸΏπŸ‘πŸΏ

  5. I'm wondering why the trans person is speaking on behalf of black women. It's not his place to invade the space of biological women and our issues. Stop the madness please

  6. Angelica is different type of brilliant I love her intelligence I could listen to her all day… Even if I dont see her as my sister.

  7. What a liar Ross is she broke up with her boyfriend becauae he didnt want anyone to know she was a trangenxer3 not racism

  8. Angelica was definitely right to state that. It's okay to evaluate your own persona and personal needs when it comes to relationships. You shouldn't have to settle for less when it comes to love bc when you have an opportunity to be in one, you have to question if you'll be truly happy with the other person and content with it all and that's perfectly fine. When your intuition is alerting you that something is off, listen to it and take heed. I'm still learning all of this myself as I'm getting older and experiencing things pertaining to dating/relationships.
